About the Studio

MARK LIEBOWITZ

Wilmark founder and owner, Mark Liebowitz began his distinguished career in the fabrication of stained glass in 1975.

After earning a Bachelor's of Arts degree in Art History from Rutgers University, Liebowitz studied fabrication, glass painting, and drawing with Albinus Elskus. After four years as a craftsman and foreman at the Lamb Studios, Liebowitz founded his own studio.

Since 1981, the studio has been located in Pearl River, NY. In 2007, Mark opened a second studio in the scenic village of Shelburne Falls, Massachusetts. The new well-lit space faces the Deerfield River and looks directly out on the famous Bridge of Flowers.

Mark continues to operate Wilmark Studios, train craftsmen, and joyfully collaborate with his wife, Nancy Katz, while continuing to work with other artists, designers and architects.
